In England generally black cats are considered good luck, but in others places are associated with witchcraft. it´s considered to good luck if a black cat crosses your path, although in the U.S.A. is opposited belief.

oOne of the superstitions of Japan are related to the 4 and 9, since the pronouncement of 4 is "shi" meaning dead and the pronouncement of 9 is "ku" meaning suffering. in hotels and hospitals don´t use 4 and 9 on the floor of the buildings.
The Maneki Neko or "Lucky Cat" is present in many businesses such as stores or restaurants to attract good luck and customers.
